PMSM_Anupama_03Oct11.pptx (Size: 112.23 KB / Downloads: 24)
Introduction
Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machines (PMSM)
Widely used in many Industrial Applications
High Efficiency, Compact Structure
Fast Dynamic Response
Simple Mechanical Construction
No moving contact
Easy Maintenance
Decreasing Cost
Modeling Tools
Ansoft Corporation RMxprt software is used for the preliminary motor design.
Advantages of using RMXprt.
The ability to get fast and convenient response in a convenient format
The output data can be easily exported to other Ansoft software (Maxwell 2D, Simplorer)
The program can perform optimisation of the input parameters.
Literature
The influence of various types of windings on the cogging torque and the total torque developed by a three-phase PMSM is investigated.
The number of poles and rotor geometry are fixed and the stator slot number is modified.
It is shown that the optimizing the cogging torque to a low value is not sufficient to obtain a low torque ripple.
