INTRODUCTION
This is a sample project with the help of this project we can keep the daily record of hotel. The main aim of the entire activity is to automate the process of day to day activities of Hotel like Room activities, Entery of a New Customer, Assign a room according to customer’s demand, checkout of a computer and releasing the room and finally compute the bill etc. The limited time and resources have restricted us to incorporate, in this project, only main activities that are performed in a HOTEL Management System, but utmost care has been taken to make the system efficient and user friendly. “HOTEL Management System” has been designed to computerize the following functions that are performed by the system. The hotel of booking system three types of room available special deluxe and full a/c the hotel space or total room of 500 costumer booking advance facility available
RESON BEHIND SELECTING C++(oops)
Through this we can reduces the inventory, saving on space, and improved ability to predict business trends. C++ is user friendly to use and manage it. The offered software is not too costly and is easily available in the market. To maintain this software is not a tough task. We can provide security to maintain integrity and prevents unauthorized access with the help this
software.
DATA FLOW DIAGRAM (DFD)
In the late 1970s Data-Flow-Diagrams (DFD) were introduced and popularized for structured analysis and design (Gane and Sarson 1979). DFD show the flow of data from external entities into the system, showed how the data moved from one process to another.
In other words, a Data Flow Diagram (DFD) is a graphical representation of the “Flow of data through an entire system and also used for the visualization of data processing (structured design). It does not explain the process and relation also.
The DFD (also known as the bubble chart) is a simple graphical formalism that can be used to represent a system in terms of the input data to the system, various processing carried out on these data, and the output data generated by the system. The main reason why the DFD technique is so popular is probably because of the fact that DFD is very simple formalism- it is simple to understand and use. A DFD model uses a very limited number of primitive symbols to represent the functions performed by a system and the data flow among these functions. Starting with a set of high-level functions that a system performs, a DFD model is simple to understand. Human mind is such that it can easily understand any hierarchical model of a system.
TESTING
Testing a program consists of subjecting the program to set of test input (or test cases) & observing if the program behaves as expected. The commonly used terms associated with testing are:-
• Failure: - A failure is a manifestation of error (or defect or bug), but the mere presence of an error may not necessarily.
• Test case: - A test case is a triplet [I, S, O], where is the data input to system, S is state of the system at which the data input, & O is the expected output of system.
• Test suite: - A test suit is the set of all test cases with which a given software project is to be tested.
