INTRODUCTION
Grid Computing: pool of heterogeneous computing resources.
Mobile Agents: software components that moves, communicates and run errands.
Resource Allocation and Coordination: A
critical issue in grid (BenHassine and Ho,2007).
STATEMENT OF PROBLEM
Resource allocation and coordination is a critical issue in the Grid Computing. Grid resource sharing is based on resource brokers which rely on information services for resource discovery and these brokers are non-coordinated it makes load-sharing and utilization a problem. Sub-optimal schedules are likely to occur therefore resources allocation become a problem.
This work seeks to implement a mobile agent approach to address the problem.
AIM
The aim is to develop and simulate a resource allocation and coordination in grid environments.
Significance of study
As it was observed by Buyya, (2009) features of Mobile agents make it to be one of the promising software technologies today for solving complex computational problems. these can also be used to solve resources allocation and coordination problem in the grid environments.
