Robot's transformations are programmed for each task, but robot identifies the obstruction by itself using sensors
While climbing the slope, it continually checks for the 'end of slope' using the front ultrasonic sensor (tilted 20º downwards). At ~2:13 it detects the end of slope, and author had programmed it to lift itself '3 seconds' after it detects the edge (time can be shorter to 2 seconds).
