SWARM INTELLIGENCE.pptx (Size: 473.61 KB / Downloads: 14)
INTRODUCTION
Swarm Intelligence is a collective behaviour of individual agents.
No centralized control for the behaviour.
Natural examples are ant colonies, bird flocking, animal herding etc.
N-QUEEN PROBLEM
Based on Ant Colony Optimization.
Heavily used by the researchers.
8-Queen problem.
ANT COLONY OPTIMIZATION
Introduced by Mark Dorigo (1992).
Inspired from the food foraging behaviour of ants.
Ants have a way of finding the shortest fastest route.
APPLICATION OF SWARM INTELLIGENCE
Robotics/artificial intelligence.
Planetary mapping.
Killing cancer tumors.
Complex interactive system.
Data mining
CONCLUSION
Swarm intelligence is a scientific theory which is inspired by the emerging behaviour of the swarms.
It proposes a new way of solving the complex problems.
Swarm intelligence teaches us that how important the behaviour of individual and interaction of individual component in a system is.
