ABSTRACT
Electrical sensors and traditionally these are wired to a system that reads and stores there values. With the technology currently developed there is no reason that these values must be stored locally on the system. The widespread access to the internet makes it easier to move the sensor values, but what happens when the sensors are setup in a location that lacks internet access. When research is being performed on certain ecosystems, they are often times far from buildings and can take hours to get too. If the sensor values were still readily available it would likely reduce the number of trips needed. Due to the widespread deployment of cell phone service, the use of this service provides a way to transfer the data from a remote location by SMS. The values can be transferred to a server that can make it readily accessible from any computer with internet access.
