What is software testing? Why do we go for testing?
It is a process that helps in finding out problems in a software under development.
Test techniques include the process of executing a program with the intent of finding software bugs.
Process in which defects are identified, isolated and subjected to rectification to make sure that the product is a quality product.
SDLC and V Model
The V model represents a software development process which may be considered an extension of the waterfall model.
V model means Verification and Validation model. The V shaped life cycle is a sequential path of execution of processes.
Instead of moving down in a linear way, the process steps are bent upwards after the coding phase, to form the typical V shape.
What is a test strategy?
It provides a road map that describes the steps to be conducted as part of testing, when these steps are planned and then undertaken, and how much effort, time and resources will be required.
It must incorporate test planning, test case design, test execution and resultant data collection and evaluation
