INTRODUCTION:
Now a days we observe lot of power scarcity in our Villages and also in Towns. To overcome this problem we can use the latest and also an Eco-friendly Technology which is so help full to the Farmers and also to Villagers.
By using this SOLAR Technology we can charge and save the Electrical power in the form of Batteries. Here in this experiment we can charge three types of Batteries namely, Lead-acid Batteries, Nickel-Cadmium Batteries & Lithium-ion Batteries.
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
This circuit follows the voltage division in the parallel. so there will be no voltage loss and can be used for multipurpose.
Solar panel is capable of delivering the power of 5 Watts. At full sunlight the solar panel gives the output of 16.5 Volts. It can deliver a current of 300 – 350 ma.
Using this circuit we can charge three type of batteries namely, Lead-acid, Ni-cd, & Li-ion Batteries.
The output of the solar panel is fed via diode IN5402 which acts as polarity guard and protects the solar panel.
Diode D2 is used for the protection against the reverse polarity in case of wrong connection of Lead-acid battery. When we connect the wrong polarity the fuse will be blown up.
An Ammeter is connected in series between the diode to measure flowing during the charging of batteries.
For charging the Lead-acid just switch the S1 to ON position and use the power socket A.
For charging Ni-Cd cells, shift S1 & S3 to ON position and use the power socket B.
ADVANTAGES
It is purely eco-friendly.
This is not a complex circuit to design and implementation. So we can use this in Home Appliances.
This circuit is used mainly in Remote Areas and in small villages, where the scarcity of power arise.

By using this solar based multi battery charger we can operate the skin response meter.
we can use this as an emergency system on the hospitals in the villages.
Human skin offers some resistance. This resistance changes with the emotional state of the body.
CONCLUSION
This is pure safe, Reliable & Eco-friendly. So we can expect this as Future-Technology and also we can use this even in Remote areas and those places where there is no availability of power source.
