INTRODUCTION
Solar power village is a self sufficient village which does not depend on external sources for energy.
It was developed by UNESCO.
It aims at bringing renewable energy to rural areas.
Doesn’t require supply systems.
SOLAR ENVELOPE
A light weight structure covered with special foil which is transparent for UV radiation also.
Acts as a substitute for pesticides
An optical system absorbs the heat and transfers it to insulated pipes containing oil .
STERLING ENGINE
Transforms thermal energy into mechanical work

Used for corn-milling
To pump water or for cooling
