ELECTRICAL APPLIANCE CONTROL USING DIGITAL ALARM CLOCK

PROJECT OBJECTIVE
In this project we design low cost high performance programmable electrical appliances controller. It automatically controls the appliances on time basis using microcontroller timer function. We can set an alarm for a particular device according to our need.

In the next few slides we are going to give brief
introduction of these components.
LCD
LCD : LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) screen is an electronic display module and find a wide range of applications. A 16x2 LCD display is very basic module and is very commonly used in various devices and circuits.
LCDs are economical; easily programmable; have no limitation of displaying special & even custom characters (unlike in seven segments), animations and so on.
The data is the ASCII value of the character to be displayed on the LCD.
RELAYS
A relay is an electrically operated switch. Current flowing through the coil of the relay creates a magnetic field which attracts a lever and changes the switch contacts.
Relays allow one circuit to switch a second circuit which can be completely separate from the first.
Relay is driven in our project by ULN2003.
