What is Stirling Engine?
Stirling Engine is an external Combustion Engine.
The Stirling Engine is one of the hot air engines. It was invented by Robert Stirling in year 1817
This Engine works on Stirling Cycle.
ABSTRACT
The main aim is to design and fabricate a Stirling Engine that runs on low temperature without displacer and water as working fluid.
Stirling Engine is consists of a piston, A Cylinder, Flywheel, Rubber Diaphragm and connecting rod
Problem Identified In Old Stirling Engine
The disadvantages are that the gas is heated and cooled by external sources, it takes time to respond. The engine needs time to warm up before producing power that can be utilized. The engine also takes time to change power output and displacer is needed.
Fabrication
1.We used Mild Steel as cylinder.
2. We Used Lathe Machine for fabricating process.
3. We used aluminum as the piston.
4. Turning, facing, Internal Boring, Grooving and Grinding has been done for fabrication.
Conclusion and result
The design is fabricated. The result will be accomplished by working the engine at all conditions. Further this engine can turn out to be a GREEN ENGINE in future by using heat energy from sun.
