STUDIES ON AMYLASE PRODUCTION.pptx (Size: 1.17 MB / Downloads: 46)
INTRODUCTION:-
AMYLASE is a genetic term given to a group of enzymes which breakdown sugars and starches.
Amylase constitute one of the important groups of enzyme that are used in the wide range of starch industries.
It is having therapeutic use in diagnosis of pancreatic disorders.
Industrial application
Used in textile industry.
Also used in baking, brewery and paper industries.
This amylase also has been used for bioremediation of organic debris.
manufacturing of maltose and high fructose containing syrups.
Used for direct fermentation of starch to ethanol.
Material method:-
sample (100gm) collected from different mangrove vegetation ecosystem.
the laboratory soil was grinded and kept in an oven up to 34c for 2 days(to decrease the fungal growth).
finally grinded soil sample were taken into a 100ml of aged Marine water instead of normal distilled water.
this water can be used for preparation of dilution and as well as media preparation and mixed thoroughly in shaking incubator for 10 minutes .
Result:-
Maximum bacterial growth absorbed in starch casein agar out of three media tested and bacterial species identified using morphological & biological test.
pH of different amylase producing media with time interval should be noted.
Conclusion:-
An attempt has been made to isolate Streptomycetes from marine sediments of MIMISAL sea coast of TAMILNADU and to produce Amylase enzyme from these isolates.
This study indicates that the marine microbes are also capable to produce more enzymes that terrestrial ones.
