INTRODUCTION
A jack is a mechanical device used as a lifting device to lift heavy loads or apply great forces. Jacks employ a screw thread or hydraulic cylinder to apply very high linear forces.
A mechanical jack is a device which lifts heavy equipment. The most common form is a car jack, floor jack or garage jack which lifts vehicles so that maintenance can be performed.
More powerful jacks use hydraulic power to provide more lift over greater distances. Mechanical jacks are usually rated for a maximum lifting capacity
Our purpose of making this project is to make it automatic. So we are attaching a high torque motor with a cam. When the current supply will be given to high torque motor due to which motion is further transferred from geared motor to cam and then finally the action will be done i.e. lifting of jack.
BASIC PRINCIPLE
1) Hydraulic jack based on Pascal’s law. Hydraulic systems use an incompressible fluid, such as oil or water, to transmit forces from one location to another within the fluid.
Pascal's law states that when there is an increase in pressure at any point in a confined fluid, there is an equal increase at every other point in the container.
