Abstracts: In presence scenario people are now concentrating on renewable energy sources, so present work shows an emphasis on such type of savonius turbine. Wind turbine is a technology which converting winds energy to electric power. Advantages of such system such as simple construction, clean renewable sources of electricity and significantly cheap to build and maintain than conventional Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine (HAWT). However, such rotor is suffering from poor efficiency problems. Savonious is basically a type of drag driven wind turbine but present work shows the implementation in both wind and water. All experiments are performed based on wind, but in additional it can be performed based on water. The present study will consider the design improvement of Savonius rotor, which is the basic geometry of drag machine, as a critical step to increase the efficiency of output power. In this study a savonius type of vertical axis wind turbine will be designed and fabricated performance of wind turbine may be checked for power generation in terms of torque. A simulate calculation will also carry out in aspect the power output generated by designed model. Investigation is conducted to study the effect of geometrical configuration on the performance of the rotor in terms of coefficient of power and power output.
