Objective of the study
The present research study deals with the WORK LIFE BALANCE of the employees at Kirloskar Electric Co. Ltd., Hubli."
To know present work life and personal life of employees.
To identify the areas of concern which affect Work Life Balance.
To identify what employees do to attain an appropriate Work Life Balance.
To identify KEC management can initiate to help its employees achieve a near perfect Work Life Balance.
Research Methodology
The samples of the research study are the office level and shop floor employees on the basis of convenience sampling.
Sample size of 20 office level and 30 shop floor employees.
Their feed back as the response of the questionnaire and interview were quantified by using Likert –Scale as data and these were analyzed and interpreted by using statistical techniques.
The variables determined are level of Work Life Imbalance, Occupational stress.
Their dependence of Work Life Imbalance with Job Stress were found out and interpreted.
The tools adopted for the study is the chi square and simple mean.
Analysis and findings
Shop floor worker’s working hours in company and time spending with their children at home is dependent.
Office level working hours in company and time spending with their children at home is independent.
Shop floor workers Work stress and loosing temper at work is dependent.
Office level employees Work stress and loosing temper at work is dependent.
Conclusion
From the overall discussion it can be concluded that the samples (office level employees and the shop floor workers) of the research study office level employees have work life imbalance mainly because of work stress.
