Abstracts: Dashboards provide at-a-glance-view relevant to particular objective or business process. Organizations use dashboards to get a broad or high-level idea of what is happening within the company, a specific department, or for a specific function. For instance, within a call centre, managers may want to monitor the time it takes to solve caller issues, the number of calls being handled, levels of service, trends and calling patterns and how that relates to company-wise initiatives, and the like. For sales, businesses might use maps to identify sales by region or the popularity of specific products within certain geographic areas. Basically, the key goal of a dashboard is to identify whether performance is on target and if there are laggards, it can explain why. The company does hundred of projects every year and each project has hundred of activities involved in it. It is very difficult to maintain the data in files and analyze the growth of project activities and make important decisions related to the project. Therefore dashboards are preferred. Silverlight Dashboard Control Library will have control library having various controls such as KPI (key Performance Indicator), Line Chart, Bar Graph, Pie Chart, Score Card, Trend Line , Gauge, Decomposition Tree for developing dashboard. Using the control library dashboard for project or activity can be developed. Each control has its standard GUI as well as developer can change its GUI and properties as per its requirement.
