1.INTRODUCTION
Google: “Among the most basic of human needs is the need to connect with others. Today, the connections between people increasingly happen online. Yet the subtlety and substance of real-world interactions are lost in the rigidness of our online tools. In this basic, human way, online sharing is awkward, even broken. And google aim to fix it. It likes to bring the nuance and richness of real-life sharing to software. To make Google better by including you, your relationships, and your interests. And so begins the Google+ project.”
Google plus is loaded with many new features like Circles, Sparks, Hangout, Instant Upload, Stream and Huddle. +Circles: “You share different things with different people. Circles makes it easy to put your friends from Saturday night in one circle, your parents in another, and your boss in a circle by himself, just like real life.” +Sparks: “looks for videos and articles it thinks you’ll like, so when you’re free, there’s always something to watch, read, and share.” +Hangouts: “With Hangouts, the unplanned meet-up comes to the web for the first time. Let buddies know you’re hanging out and see who drops by for a face-to-face chat.” +Instant Upload: “Your photos upload themselves. “ +Huddle: “Huddle takes care of it by turning all those different conversations into one simple group chat.”
2.FEATURES
2.1 CIRCLES
Google+ Circles helps us to organize everyone according to our real-life social connections say, 'family,' 'work friends,' 'music buddies,' and 'alumni'. Then, we can share relevant content with the right people, and follow content posted by people that we find interesting. For example, we might post an announcement about our engagement and show it only to people in our friends and family circles, or maybe we see a post from the circle we created for our book club that there's a recent article on our favorite author.
We can also decide to customize our personal profile information for our circles. For example, our contact details, location, and relationship information would be visible to our friends circle, while our employment history and education would be visible to our alumni association circle.
Who can see our circles
When we place people into circles, or when we share with our circles, it won't disclose the titles of the circles people are in. People in circles that we share with may be able to see some of the others with whom that content was also shared. Name and photos of people in our circles as well as people who have added us to their circles will show on the side of our profile.
People suggestions
On the side of the stream and on the Find and Invite tab, we may see suggestions for people Google+ thinks we might know. Suggestions could be generated by:
• Our mutual connections with people on Google products such as Gmail.
• Interaction we have had with others on Google products.
• The links we have added to our profile.
• The connected accounts we have linked on our Google Account.
• The people who are in our extended circles.
Extended circles
When we share something in the stream, we might notice an option to share with our extended circles. Our extended circles are like our circles' circles. Content shared with our extended circles could appear in the Incoming stream of people who are one degree removed from us with certain conditions--namely that we’ll only include people whose association with people we know is already visible to us.
