INTRODUCTION
Statistical concepts and methods are not only useful but often indispensable in understanding the world around us.
The discipline of statistics teaches us how to make intelligent judgments and informed decisions in the presence of uncertainty and variation.
In the olden days, the term “statistics” was used to collect data and display the data in an intelligent manner. Thus in the olden days, people used to study descriptive statistics. In the modern times, we do collect data, present them in pictorial fashion but also try to make “inference” about the “population” from which the data was collected.

Frequency Distributions
A frequency distribution is a table that divides a set of data into a suitable number of classes (categories) showing also the number of items belonging to each class.
