-A client demands services and server provides them.

File Server-It provides space for and access to files created by the user.
-many organisations create accounts for users
Application server-Provide access to different application programs
E-mail server-Provide email services to users in an organisation.
Print server-access shared printers through the network.
Network components
Cables-Cables are physical devices by which network is connected
-usually cables are UTP copper cables that are inserted in a wall socket to connect to a desktop computer.
-The wall socket is connected to a switch or hub.
-twisted pair cables are rated according to their capacity.
Wireless Devices-wireless protocol is used in organisations as Wi-Fi.
-IEEE standard for Wi-Fi is 802.11 divided into 802.11b for speed of maximum 11mbps and 802.11g as a speed of 54mbps.
-wireless devices are also called access points.
-these points are connected to the wired network via cables.
The internet
Vast array of networks and end hosts connected to each other.
It is best understood as a network that moves packets from one end to another through a vast array of wired.
