Word Screen
The title bar lists the document’s title until the document a title by saving it to disk.
The Office Button replaces the traditional File menu of most Windows programs. Clicking the Office Button displays the Office Button menu, a list of commands that deal with files and documents.
Tabs organize Word’s various commands into groups based on activities.
Groups and command buttons help keep commands for the various tabs organized. Each group contains command buttons that do specific things to your text.
Mouse Pointer in Word
For editing text, the mouse pointer becomes the I-beam.
For choosing items, the standard eleven o’clock mouse pointer is used.
For selecting lines of text, a one o’clock mouse pointer is used.
Using a Template
A template is a special type of document that contains preset information and formatting. The template can include the company letterhead and logo. A template can be a complete document where you merely fill in the blanks.
Using a template is as easy as starting a new document. Start by choosing the New from the Office Button menu. The New Document window appears and provides you with access to templates in a variety of ways.
Formatting Text
Format characters to be bold, underlined, italicized, little, or big or in different fonts or colors. Word gives magnificent amount of control over the appearance of text.
Basic Text Formatting
On the Home tab, find the Font group, shown in the figure below. The command buttons in that group carry out most of the basic text formatting use in Word.
Transforming Tabbed Text into a Table
Select the text you want to convert into a table. It helps if the text is arranged into columns, with each column separated by a tab character.
Choose Table Convert Text to Table. The Convert Text to Table dialog box, which assists in the conversion. As long as the text you selected is formatted into columns with tabs, there is no need to modify the settings in the dialog box
Rotating the Image
The easy way to rotate an image is to use the Rotate menu ( ) in the Arrange group. From the menu, you can choose to rotate the image 90 degrees to the left or right or to flip the image horizontally or vertically.

WordArt is very much common feature for the Word user. People find it fun and enjoyable to use.
