Abstracts: History records over a century and a half of interest in and work on the gas turbine. Gas turbine is versatile machine to generate the power & thrust in jet engines. There are certain limitations to impart higher temperature gases on the gas turbine blades because of low cooling & higher stresses generated in blades. So, this project deals with the use of internal air cooling method to cool the blade & decrease the stresses generated. Thermal analysis of blades carried out by considering different new materials. Finally, with increase in the cooling efficiency of blade, wide range of high temperature gases can be effectively used. Here we are deals with CREO 2.0 for modeling of blade geometry, ANSYS Workbench 14.5 for thermal analysis and ANSYS Fluent for flow analysis.
