Abstracts: Our project “To design and implementation of flow rate measuring experimental setup by using Venturimeter, Orificemeter , and Rotameter” mainly focuses on the design and working of the Venturimeter ,Orificemeter, and Rotameter. A Venturimeter is a device used to measure the velocity, or flow rate of fluid flowing through a pipeline. As the liquid flows through the pipeline, the device measures the pressure of the liquid before it enters the Venturi tube and as it exits the constricted area. An orifice meter is a differential pressure flow meter which reduces the flow area using an orifice plate. This exercise allows to visualize flow patterns in an orifice meter and compare the discharge coefficient for the meter with experimental values. A rotameter is a device that measures the flow rate of liquid or gas in a closed tube. It belongs to a class of meters called variable area meters, which measure flow rate by allowing the cross-sectional area the fluid travels through to vary, causing some measurable effect. The project is undertaken as a whole year to identify problem in design of current lab instrument in our college and by redesign we will manufacture whole setup. Design will be optimized to maximize the efficiency, minimize instrumental error.
