Abstracts: Main components of plastic producing machinery are screw and barrel which cause the material to flow in forward direction to take the final shape according to the die. As screw rotate it causes the molten pressurized plastic to move forward between screw and barrel which is injected at the front of screw at required flow rate and pressure. Sometimes due to wear of screw and barrel various problems are occurred in the machinery, like adhesive wear, abrasive wear and corrosive wear, which causes variation in output flow rate and pressure regarding to which efficiency of machine and output of machine are greatly influenced. So our project is to study the problems occurring in plastic producing machinery due to wear of screw and barrel and suggest solutions so that efficiency can be maintained and output of machine is increase. We try our best to give the maximum possible solution like by use of lubrication we can reduce the adhesive wear, by use of filter and proper coating we can reduce the corrosive and abrasive wear
