The physicalparameter in the process control systemsensed by using an appropriate transducer. The signal conditioning circuit convert this physical parameter into electric signal. This voltage is then applied to a voltage to frequency converter. At the out put of the voltage we get a frequency that is proportional to the input voltage. The frequency variations are used to modulate a carrier to get a frequency modulated output. This RF signal is then transmited via an antenna in air.

The receiving antenna receives the transmited RF signal. This is given to the reciever, which is then decodes the RF signal to get back the original frequency variations. This frequency is then given to the frequency to voltage converter to get the corresponding voltage. This voltage represent the value of the physical parameter being measured and is displayed.
