Abstract:
The project is intended as a safety measure to avoid any kind of unaware & uncertain accident caused due to unbalanced temperature and sudden leakage of hazardous gases in industries. To overcome this, the temperature & gas sensors are mounted on a robot which continuously records the present situation and takes the consequent action according to the system. The MCU processed the sensors data & feds the output signal to a GSM Communication modem. GSM (Global System for Mobile communication) is a digital mobile telephony system that uses a variation of Time Division Multiple Accesses (TDMA) and most widely uses the three digital wireless telephony technologies i.e., TDMA, CDMA & FDMA. The GSM Modem will send the status message containing real time value of the sensors to a pre-specific number.
The project also includes continuous navigation of the environment for surveillance. The surveillance robot employs an architecture composed of twin hierarchies i.e., audio & video mechanism controlled by a knowledge based supervisor. There is a wireless camera placed on the robot to capture the scenes during navigation & further utilize the information accordingly and display it in the PC.
