Abstracts: To improve power output of any internal combustion engine, we can either increase the size of cylinder or number of cylinders. But it is limited due to the space restrictions. Another way is to CHARGE the input air; means increase the pressure of inlet air. A current trend for charging is by mechanical means like Turbochargers and Supercharger. We are focusing on the thermal properties of exhaust gases from engine to charge the inlet air by thermal means. We are designing a specified heat exchanger with the other components to create a hybrid charging cycle. By doing so volumetric efficiency is increased and hence overall efficiency of I.C engine can be improved.
