Project work is major part of course. It is a period in which we are introduction the actual process of making a project successful. In other words,we can say that project lab course training is provided for the familiarization with the environment in which the development of an actual project is done.In the department of Computer Science and Engg,I am introduced the process of software engineering, which is I owe and includes not only the process but actual process of Software development. During the period of degree in Computer Science and Engg.,I have studied all the theoretical subjects, which are required for the development of software or some other design. But this is the time When I put my knowledge to actual work and learn how to combine all the aspects of Software engineering. The objectives of doing project work is to raise the level of performance in one or more of its aspects and this may be achieved by careful learning of group relation, coordination and cooperation provides an overview of the total development process.
Every organization needs to impart knowledge training to their employees at the time of recruitment and new product launch. Thorough assessment is the only means in the hand of organization to find out the effectiveness of the training. Effective assessment requires easy to use and customizable assessment tools. Swarnin Infosoft Pvt. Ltd. is developing an assessment tool as a web application product by the name touchstone. It is designed in such a way that it can be used in almost any domain where assessment is required.
Touchstone is a web based assessment tool. Using it an organization can create objective questioners to assess their trainees or employees on a specific domain. Each question can be assigned different difficulty level and marking points. Trainees and employees can complete these questioners and can find out their result individually and in comparison to their peers and can remove their shortcomings, making them great assets for the organization. Organizations can find out who learned what and on the basis of assessment results can formulate strategies to effectively use their manpower.
Following are the major functionality of the assessment tool:
Creation, Edition and Deletion of assessment quizzes. Assignment of quizzes. Platform for taking online quizzes for trainees and employees. Result generation and Graphical summary. Profile management of trainees and admin users.
Key benefits of using the assessment tool:
A web based assessment platform which can used from anywhere. Customizable assessments creation and graphical results summary.
III. SCOPE OF PROJECT
This is a web based assessment tool using which an organization can create objective questionnaires to assess their trainees or employees on a specific domain. This system will be designed to maximize the productivity of existing system by providing tools to assist in automating and maintaining questionnaires and thereafter results of the attempted tests. A person will have the following modules that he can access:
1) Quiz Management
2) User Management
3) Profile Management
4) Assessment Management
5) Reports Management
IV. OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT
The main objective of developing TouchStone is to store wide range of information under a centralized web server by the web application to organize and manage the Online Test attempted by the various students/employees. It provides well maintained friendly environment to the staff of students/employees to sharpen his intelligence. Every Industry wants to give the best service to their users and this is one of the main objectives to develop Touch Stone.
1) It stores the information of the students/employees about their profile.
2) It maintains the creation, modification, deletion of various courses, topics, sets related to the various subjects.
3) It manages the Online Test Engine at the time of Running Test.
4) It manages the result of the Test.
SYSTEM STUDY AND PROBLEM FORMULATION
I. EXISTING SYSTEM:-
Existing system is manual system. It requires a lot of paper work to be done. It is a time consuming system. All Students, Trainees and Employees information is maintained manually. Any assesment requires so much effort manually.
The system operate under a manual system to deal with the user records. The primary function of the system is assessment of the students ,trainees and employees
II. DRAWBACKS OF EXISTING SYSTEM:-
a) Time Consuming: : Existing systems are more time is consuming due to manual system.
b) Data redundancy and formatting: The various files are likely to have different formats and
therefore lead to redundancy and inconsistency .
c) Maintaining registers is costly: Traditionally documents have been stored in batches and
they field in file cabinets and boxes. A numerical system is they assigned. Specifically a
consumer number assigned to organize the files.
d) Error prone: Existing systems are error prone, since manual work is required. More time is
consumed and errors may propagate due to human mistakes.
e) Low security feature: Due to maintenance.s of records manually and shared and could view
easily by anyone. Also these could be possible lose of data and confidential information due to
some disaster in the form of fire, theft etc.
III. PROPOSED SYSTEM:- Touchstone

Definitions, Acronyms and Abbreviations
Assessors: All the persons who will use this web application to generate tests acting as a mentor or teacher.
Assesses: All the trainees who will undertake the tests to be evaluated on company.s parameters.
Stakeholders: Administrator, Employee, Developer and the intended company for which the Touchstone is developed have some sort of stake in this web application software.
Developer: The persons who build the software. In Touchstone, developer is the company/organization/person who had developed the system.
UI: User Interface
URL: Universal Resource Location
IV. ADVANTAGES OF THE SYSTEM:-
It facilitates paper free work. It provides instant information. It opens an account very easily. It provide plateform for skill enhancement. It shows the result of the user instantly after user submit. It can modify and remove the account of user very easily. It is very easy to run. It is free of cost after installation. It can provide all entered information of user just by typing the Unique ID . It can easily update. It is time saving project. It reduces the paper complexity
IV. FEASIBILITY STUDY:-
This part or aspect of systems analysis that concentrates on finding out whether an intended course of action violates any constraints is referred to as FEASIBILITY analysis .All the projects are feasible – given unlimited resources and infinite time! Unfortunately, the development of a computer –based system or product is more likely beleaguered by scarcity of evaluate the feasibility of a project at the earliest possible time of project inception.
Technical Feasibility-:
Technical feasibility centers on the existing computer system (hardware, software, etc.) and on the extent it can support the proposed addition . Financial considerations have to be taken into account for technical enhancements. In short the study of function, performance, and constraints that may affect the ability to achieve an acceptable system. If the budget is a serious constraint, then the project is judge not feasible .This project is considered technically feasible for development.
Economical Feasibility-:
Economic analysis is the most frequently used method for evaluation the effectiveness of a candidate system. More commonly known as cost/benefit analysis, the procedure is to determine the benefits and savings that are expected from candidate system and compare them with costs. If benefits outweigh costs then the decision is taken. This project is considered economical feasible for development.
Operational Feasibility-:
Operational Feasibility is reviewed in the early stages of project planning. Proposed project is beneficial only if it can be turned into information systems that will meet the organization.s operational requirement. In the operational feasibility it is checked if the system will work, when it is developed and deployed which are major barriers to the development a consideration about the working of the system after installation in the organization.
The software, which is developed, has an interactive, user-friendly interface, so operational difficulties are almost eliminated. It will improve the performance after implementation as the information can be delivered to the destination with utmost security. Hence the project is considered operationally feasible.
TEAM STRUCTURE
Project Team Structure
Close coordination within the project team is expected by clients and is essential for effective project management. At Swarnim Infosoft our project team structure is organized to provide maximum design efficiency within project teams, while minimizing overhead. This structure provides for constant project team communications and an "information flow" vehicle that insures that all project team members are updated on all project developments. Regular Project Team meetings are conducted on all major projects to insure that design efforts adhere to project specifications and those drawings and specifications are accurate and consistent.
How We Work
A crucial factor for any major capital project is the organization and experience of the Project Team. Clients need to be assured that capital projects will be completed within the project budget and delivered on schedule. Additionally, engineered designs must be checked and coordinated so that the construction goes smoothly and the designs work in the field as intended
