Abstract
Tourism has become a significant expression of human activity that has contributed and still contributes much to receiving countries’ economies, social welfare, and cultural patrimony. The hotel industry plays an important role in this sector.
India has enjoyed a fast growth in tourism and hospitality over the last few years. However, the quality of hotel system in India still faces serious problems when compared to the other neighboring countries.
This study identifies some of the problems regarding hotel industry development as well the implementation of CRM technology by major hotel groups like TAJ, Oberoi, ITC etc and some of the recommendations were being given in order to improve the process.
