In this project we have used wind energy to pull a tricycle having an additional attachment of vertical axis wind mill with Bevel gear to convert wind energy into mechanical movement of a tricycle. It consists two horizontal shaft front and rear shaft. On the front shaft which receives as a rotation from the wind mill through a pair of bevel gears. Sprocket is mounted on front shaft which transmit power to rear shaft by a chain driver. The another driver from pedals to rear shaft. The lever is attached to shaft of wind mill to engage or disengage gears by up and down motion.
Today tricycle are being looked at as a popular and cheap form of transport. It does not require any fuel and therefore it is environmental friendly. The use of tricycle is now a very common features in villages, towns & cities to carry Gods, LPG Cylinders as well as Passangers. The conventional tricycles require more human effort it becomes very difficult for the pedallar to pull the tricycle on the steep. The effort of the pedallar are reduced with the help of this modified tricycle.

In conventional tricycle the riders pedaling effort are transmitted to rear wheel shaft through a Sprocket-chain drive and tricycle move forward. But in tricycle fitted with wind mill the rotation of wind mill is transmitted first to the front shaft through a pair of bevel gear enclosed in box and then to rear shaft through Sprocket-chain drive.
In case of starting tricycle it is pedaled to give initial starting torque prior to transmitting the power from the wind mill. The lever pressed in downward direction then gear is engaged hence once tricycle gained momentum. The wind mill starts rotating due to displacement of air.
As it is this supported by wind power in addition for pedaling. It enables substantial load to be moved efficiently and safely. It can carry load even against the wind direction very easily
