Introduction
Trojan virus (back doors) have been in the news just recently .the term probably sound familiar to you .but perhaps you are not sure what a Trojan hors is and what damage it is capable of doing you system .
Trojan virus(horse) of which there are now more than thousands in circulation ( including modifications & variants) are a relatively new and probably the most dangerous & strain of virus that have appeared in recent time.
Definition
A Trojan Horse is an email virus usually released by an email attachment & downloading and running files from the internet. These programs-Trojans . If opened, it will scour your hard drive for any personal and financial information such as your social security, account, and PIN numbers. Once it has collected your info, it is sent to a thief’s database.
There are several different types of Trojans. Some of these include: remote access Trojans (RATs), backdoor Trojans (backdoors), IRC Trojans (IRCbots), and key logging Trojans. Many Trojan encompass multiple types. For example, a Trojan may install both a keylogger and a backdoor. IRC Trojans are often combined with backdoors and RATs to create collections of infected computers known as botnets.
A Trojan horse is a computer program which carries out malicious operations without the user's knowledge. The name "Trojan horse" comes from a legend told in the Iliad (by the writer Homer) about the siege of the city of Troy by the Greeks.
