Abstracts: With increasing number of population and higher rate of development, the problem of road accident is also increasing rapidly. So the basic concept is to develop a model that can be useful as a security system in the society and can control vehicle speed. The property of Infrared effect can be used to design a model that can be put on the road surface and whenever a vehicle with higher velocity crosses the sensor, it will generate an alarming condition. Two rows of arrays of Infrared light will be put on the road surface at a fixed distance. Whenever a vehicle passes over the surface of 1st array of sensor, it will give a voltage output that can be useful to start timer in microcontroller, and while the vehicle pass over the 2nd array of sensor, the voltage output from it will deactivate the timer in the microcontroller. Hence the total time taken by vehicle can be determined. Now, the Velocity of passed vehicle can be determined by the time taken to cross both of sensors and the fixed distance between two sensors. As an output, the model will show directly the speed of the vehicle in km/h. Whether the speed is over the deadline and crosses it, the Alarm will start instantly as well as blinking Red LED. And if the speed is below the limit, the display will just show the velocity and waits for another vehicle.
