Introduction
Now a days induction motors are used widely in industrial applications due to more advantages.
It can be operated in motor, generator mode and as a condenser.
In different applications these are required to develop different torques.
So, it is necessary to control the torque.
Induction motor torque control
Scalar
frequency & magnitude of voltage, current, flux CONTROL
Vector control methods
instantaneous position of voltage, current and flux
D.T.C (Direct Torque Control)
In this method , the motor equations are transferred into coordinate system.
No voltage, current, flux, resistance control is done
Basic principal is field oriented control
It was introduced in 1980
conclusion
Direct torque control for induction motor using two sets of three-phase inverters has been presented
The control scheme is quite different from field oriented control because it depends on the concept of the slip frequency control in the spite of the magnetic force
