• Microsoft windows operating system or LINUX based (windows preferred)
• SIP accounts can be provisioned manually
• SIP accounts can be provisioned in batches, a batch can accommodate up to 10,000 SIP accounts
• The database is MySQL
• External route link connectivity to VOIP service providers (should be able to handle up to 1000 VOIP providers) for call terminations
• External route to be used is priority driven
• Possibility of assigning a SIP account, a batch or group of SIP accounts to a particular VOIP service provider through the external route
• Many external VOIP service provider routes can be assigned to a SIP account or a group of SIP accounts, priority of the route to be used is defined (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, - --- -, 9, 10, etc). For a SIP account or group of SIP accounts the call termination/transition is done via the external service provider route having priority 1, if priority 1 route fails, the call goes through the route with priority 2, etc
• Ability to handle 1 million concurrent/simultaneous VOIP calls
• Possibility to send traffic/do call termination or call transition for a SIP account/group of SIP accounts based on ‘time of the day’ configuration setting, for instance, I should be able to configure that from 14:00 – 18:00 use route with priority 3
• The provisioned or defined SIP accounts are set ‘Active’ one after the other each time the web page containing the VOIP call client is opened, in other words, a SIP account on the SIP server is assigned to that opened webpage, when the webpage is closed, the SIP account is marked ‘Free’ on the SIP server
• The next SIP account is similarly as described above occupied when another webpage containing the VOIP call client is opened by a potential user.
• If all SIP accounts have been set ‘Active’ one after the other, then the reuse of those that are marked ‘Free’ should begin in a similar way described
• Possibility of having log files that for events, errors, alarms and system faults
• It should be possible to do routing of calls to external routes of VOIP service providers based on the prefix of the B party/called party
• Possibility to manually set a SIP account ‘Active’
• Possibility to manually and permanently define a SIP account and be able to set it ‘Active’
• Possibility to manually define an active SIP account and make its status ‘Gold’. When the status is ‘Gold’, the web based call dialler skips it and does not make use of it, only the administrator can assign it to either a SIP client or a VOIP external route or an IP phone somewhere having a public IP address
• The Billing System must always be referenced first before calls are setup, however if the SIP account is type ‘Gold’, it should be configurable to allow calls to go through without first interrogating the Billing System, again that should be an option an administrator can enable when required
• Possibility to create SIP accounts that are IP characterised, in other words, IP phones should be able to make use of such SIP accounts
• Generation of Call Detail Records (CDR)
