Abstracts: The project report is about a University based HR Optimization System. It is an internet based system that deals with overall resource management for the students and re-engineering HR processes for the University. The basic idea behind the project is to warehouse the various kinds of analytical data over a course of time during the academic life of a student. The system is specially designed to use the analysed data collected by the overall user activities on the system as well as based on their personal inputs to the system for filtering the students on basis of their competencies. The system also provides a collaborative working environment to the users by allowing them to create Workspaces and interact within the Workspaces with resource sharing, task assignment and keeps them regularly updated about the work done in a workspace. In the Workspace environment, the system also allows users to create and make use of various applications that can reside in a Workspace and can be shared with the respective members of that workspace. Many social elements including Blogs, Interests, Messages, Discussions, Reviews, etc. have also been provided in the social module of the project to make the system more interesting and user-friendly. Hence, the system will keep an account of the user’s data regarding personal, professional and academic activities as well as the social activities and the collaborative workspaces that the system tracks. For creating such a system that has Personal Profiling, Workspaces and Social modules; we have gone through intensive research about the existing issues and the prevailing technologies. Using Object Oriented Methodology with UML diagrams, we have designed and documented the system in the following report. The report comprises of what we have inferred and applied as a team to make this project a successful and usable product.
