1. Record sound/track(s) using system line-in port/system microphone/any other external audio interfaces OR import track(s) directly from “File”. Make sure that “Input Level Indicator” (both channels) never crosses the “ZERO (0)” in the “Input Monitor/Meter” and causes clipping.
In case of directly imported tracks, audio monitoring is not required.
2. Synchronize the set of tracks perfectly by dragging those left-to-right/right-to-left (Here, zoomed-in view is recommended for lining the bars/beats etc. up more finely) using “TIME SHIFT TOOL”.
3. Insert/remove silence/noise – delete unwanted sound from all the tracks one by one. Use “SELECTION TOOL” and press “DELETE” on your keyboard.
4. Select the set of tracks and navigate to “TRACKS” > “MIX AND RENDER”.
5. The mixed track is generated. Now, select it and perform “EDIT” > “DUPLICATE”. Repeat the same step to have a sum of three identical tracks and rename those as A, B and C. Now pan A to the extreme LEFT CHANNEL, B to RIGHT and keep C CENTER-PANNED.
6. Again select all three tracks and follow “TRACKS” > “MIX AND RENDER”.
7. Select the re-mixed track and go to “EFFECT” > “EQUALIZATION” > “OK”.
Adjustment of BASS, TREBLE etc. in “SELECT CURVE” should be done as per the requirement.
8. The equalized track can be given a little effect of reverb, especially, if the track sounds a little dry. Follow “EFFECT” > “REVERB” after selecting the track and adjust the parameters such as Room size, Pre-delay, Reverberance etc. accordingly. Remember, this step is conditional.
9. Now, select the track and perform “EFFECT” > “AMPLIFY” > “OK” to amplify as well as to repair clipped portions (if any).
10. If amplification is not enough to hear the track comfortably (standard volume), then dynamic range compression need to be applied for several times, avoiding the unwanted production of “some-kind-of-vocal-removal-noise” following
“EFFECT” > “COMPRESSOR” > “OK”. You can have the “Compress based on Peaks” box checked/unchecked, whichever suits the most. In case the waveform touches the line, amplify according to the default (Audacity suggested) parameter, or, do it manually by putting the value of “-0.5” in “Amplification (dB)” field, if Audacity suggests “0.0”.
Once again make sure that “Output Level Indicator” (both channels) never crosses the “ZERO (0)” in the “Output Monitor/Meter” which causes sound clipping.
11. The track is ready. Just click on “FILE” > “EXPORT” > (type the title of the track) > (export as .WAV file, always) > “SAVE” > (enter the track details) > “OK”.
