IN PREVIOUS PRESENTATION I HAVE ALREADY EXPLAINED THE TOPIC.
I HAVE ALREADY DISCUSSED THE NORMAL AND ABNORMAL CONDITIONS OF HEART.
THEREFORE I WILL GIVE A QUICK RECAP OF ALL THE POINTS.
HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS
HEART BEAT SENSOR
5V REGULATED SUPPLY
7 SEGMENT DISPLAY
Atmel AT89C2051 microcontroller
5 V REGULATED SUPPLY
IN THIS HIGH VOLTAGE AC MAINS ELECTRICITY IS GIVEN TO ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT.
A BRIDGE RECTIFIER IS IMPLEMENTED TO CONVERT AC SUPPLY INTO PULSATING DC.
THE REGULATED DC SUPPLY IS VERY SMOOTH WITH NO RIPPLE.
A VOLTAGE REGULATOR IC IS AVAILABLE WITH FIXED VOLTAGE OF 5 VOLTS.
HEART BEAT SENSOR
IT works on the principle of Photoplethysmography.
It is a TECHNIQUE which measures cardiovascular pulse wave that is found throughout the body.
A light sensitive detector is positioned on the surface of skin on opposite side and capable of identifying the pulse changes.
The LED positioned on Upperhalf side because it emits infrared light and IR is less absor bed by tissues and more absorbed by bones.
Any changes in blood
volume will be registered since increasing (or decreasing) volume will cause more or
less absorption.
