ABSTRACT:
The main aim of the project is to develop an embedded kit which controls the machinery using Zig-Bee technology with AT89C51 programmable micro controller.
Automation is used to control industrial machinery and processes, reducing the need for human intervention. Automation greatly reduces the need for human sensory and mental requirements as well. Processes and systems can also be automated. Automation plays an increasingly important role in the global economy and in daily experience. Industrial automation can improve safety, quality, reduce costs and increase productivity.
Zig-Bee is the global and rapid grow standard of Wireless Sensor Network. It is built on IEEE 802.15.4 radio and MAC and it is the only standard (until now) that support wireless mesh network. Within ZigBee standard, a lot of “application profiles” defines the standard ZigBee devices that could be communicate with each other. Industrial Automation is one of the most famous application profile and being researched and implemented by many companies around the world. It mounts ZigBee module into our electrical machinery e.g., AC motor, DC motor, bulb, control all these devices by judging from the read out from the sensor (e.g., turn ON the AC motor, when it is required).
The programming language used for developing the software to the microcontroller is Embedded/Assembly. The KEIL cross compiler is used to edit, compile and debug this program. Here in our application we are using AT89C51 microcontroller which is Flash Programmable IC.AT represents the Atmel Corporation represents CMOS technology is used for designing the IC.
