Infrared emitting diodes are solid-state gallium arsenide devices that emit a beam of radiant flux when forward biased. When the junction is a forward biased, electron from the N region will recombine with excess holes of the P material in specially designed recombination region sandwiched between the P&N type materials.
During this recombination process, energy is radiated away from the device the form of photons. The generated photons will either be reabsorbed the structure or leave the surface of the device as radiant energy.
This project titled “Wireless printer & keyboard “The basic idea behind this project is bring the concept of online billing and all features can be done efficiently .In this mordern technology the need of all these things has become an important criterion.
The block consists of Personal Computer,IBM PC Keyboard, serial port Microcontroler IR transmitter IR Receiver ,interfacing Circuit, Printer. The interfacing PC with the microcontroller or any other devices can be done by two methods through LPT printer port & Serial port .Here we are using serial port the datas received from the
IBM-PC keyboard are transferred to the microcontroller through the Input/output lines
The Ascii characters are transmitted by the IR Transmitter and IR Receiver present in the Personal Computer These datas are transferred through the serial port of the Personal computer .Once all these procedures these datas are transmitted to the printer by the Microcontroller this is also done by the IR transmitter & IR receivers .The printer is connected by the interfacing circuit which connects the Microcontroller eight bit data with the printer cable. This done by the I/O lines of the microcontroller The Controller used here is 89c51.
