Why Wear a Helmet?
Motorcycle accidents are common and may end in loss of precious lives. Riders must make wearing helmets a must.
Wearing a helmet is indispensable
Imagine world cricketers batting on fields without wearing helmets? You would think they are either out of their minds or are dare devils. It is not any different for motorcycle riders either.
You may find it very cumbersome to wear helmets. Every time somebody insists on your wearing one, you may think it is a waste of time. You may feel that accidents can never happen to you. If you are a safe rider then why worry?
Riding a bike at 55 kmph means you are moving at 49 feet per second. It is the speed at which you would hit the ground, if you were to jump from the fourth floor of a building. You may have a million excuses for not protecting yourself with a helmet. But this is reason enough for all those arguments to do a vanishing act. A little care can save your life.
"Of the total number of deaths in two-wheeler accidents in India which are 1.30 lakh annually, maximum deaths are in Maharashtra. More people die in road accidents than wars. Pune alone accounted for 400 deaths of bikers in 2011 of which 215 people died as they were not wearing helmets,"
This project is about controlling accidents due to not wearing Helmet while driving two wheeler. RFID is used in both Helmet and two wheeler to communicate the presence of Helmet while Ignition is ON. This detection is based on a special type of sensor (ESD) placed inside the Helmet.
All these Data are processed by a Micro-controller (8051 IC) which is in-build with the two wheeler.
With reference to the pre determined values this Micro-controller controls the Ignition system of the Two Wheeler. Through this advanced technology we can prevent unwanted human loss through Accidents.
