AUTOMATIC CONTROL OF STUDENTS ATTENDANCE IN CLASSROOMS USING RFID.doc (Size: 109.5 KB / Downloads: 103)
INTRODUCTION
In the today’s busy world time plays the important role. So nowadays in every side people will try to save the time. This project is used to save time while taking attendance. Here RFID tag is given to each student and lecturer. If any person scratches his tag then it will read the data and stores it in microcontroller’s memory and displays it on the alpha numeric LCD display.
DESCRIPTION
This project is used to save the time while taking attendance in a class room. Here RFID tag is given for each student and lecturer. One switch is used here. The lecturer will switch on the device and first he will punch his RFID tag. It will read his details and these details will be stored on microcontroller memory. Then each student will punch the tag. Then it will store all details in microcontroller’s memory. If the students absent then it will store student’s roll number and absent. If the student present then it will store student’s roll number and present.
After certain time lecturer and students details will be displayed on the alpha numeric LCD display. If any student absent then it will display student roll number and absent. Present student’s details will be displayed as student roll number and present. These details are sent to the GSM module through UART. Finally all the details will be sent to the specified phone number.
8051 architecture based P89V51RD2 microcontroller from NxP is used to implement this project. Microcontroller acts as the heart of the project, which controls the whole system. It contains 1k RAM, 64k Flash, 3 Timers, 2 external interrupts, 1 UART, 32 GPIO’s, ISP programming support etc. KEIL IDE is used to program the microcontroller and the coding will be done using Embedded C.
