Media is submerged (Partially or Fully) in to organics in a trough and is slowly rotated to achieve efficient contact between organic matter and organisms. Aeration is provided by rotating action which exposes media to air. Media is not continuous i.e. closely spaced circular discs.

Aeration is provided by rotating action which exposes media to air.
Media is not continuous i.e. closely spaced circular discs.
Sloughing of film becomes thick and heavy.
Optimal balance between hydraulic and organic loading can be achieved by rotating action. Hence no recycling needed.
Significant reduction in operating cost.
