Abstracts: With the increasing levels of technology, the efforts being put to produce any kind of work has been continuously decreasing. The efforts required in achieving the desired output can be effectively and economically be decreased by the implementation of better designs. With depletion of energy sources the efficient transfer of heat from the thermal system to the surrounding or other system is challenging task and to achieve such goal efficient design of heat exchanger play a vital role. The heat exchangers are used to transfer heat from liquid to liquid or gas to gas or gas to liquid depending upon requirement. In the design of heat exchanger there are numbers of parameters play an important like heat transfer coefficient, fluid properties and temperatures of hot and cold fluids. There are various types of heat exchangers are used for different engineering application at various places like power plants, internal combustion engine, gas turbine unit, nuclear power plant, refrigeration and air-conditioning system and chemical plants etc. The concentric type heat exchangers are widely used in chemical industries as well as low temperature heat transfer application. In concentric type heat exchanger generally low viscous oil or water are used as cold fluid. The aim of present work is to design such liquid to liquid heat exchanger so that hear transfer can enhance and the temperature measurement made possible using thermo couple to determine the effectiveness of heat exchanger. In the present work water is used as a cold as well as hot fluid and by existing set up we can estimate the effectiveness of heat exchanger as well as set the hot and cold fluid at different temperature.
