Although industrial and product designers are well aware of the importance of design aesthetics, they make aesthetic design decisions largely on the basis of their intuitive judgements and their "educated guesses". While ergonomic researchers and human factors have made great contributions to the safety, productivity, ease of use and comfort of human-machine-environment systems, aesthetics are largely ignored as a systematic research topic inhuman and ergonomic factors.
The term aesthetic% refers to our senses and our responses to an object. & f something is aesthetically welcome to you, it is% pleasurable% and you like it. & f is aesthetically unpleasant, it is% unpleasant% and you do not like it. Aesthetics involves all your senses - vision, hearing, touch, taste and smell - and your emotions.
