Today it is very important to maintain high level security to ensure secure and reliable communication of information between various organizations. But secure communication of data over the Internet and any other network is always under threat of intrusion and misappropriation. Therefore, intrusion detection systems have become a necessary component in terms of computer and network security. There are several approaches that are used in intrusion detections, but unfortunately, none of the systems so far is not completely flawless. Therefore, the search for improvement continues. In this progression, here we present an Intrusion Detection System (IDS), through the application of Genetic Algorithm (GA) to efficiently detect various types of network intrusions. GA parameters and processes are discussed in detail and implemented. This approach uses the theory of evolution for the evolution of information in order to filter traffic data and thus reduce complexity.
