Abstracts: In this project an overview regarding methods used for recharging groundwater is given. Groundwater has emergedas an important source to meet the water requirement so various sectors including the major consumer so water like irrigation, domestic and industrial .Based on past records the reisdepletion of groundwater storage due to various factors which are categorized from due to human activity or due to natural. Groundwater recharge can be done by various artificial methods like direct methods includes percolation tanks, ditch and furrow and flooding etc. direct subsurface techniques includes well recharge, recharge pits and shaft etc. combination of surface and subsurface techniques as well as various indirect techniques are outlined briefly here and solution of problems regarding groundwater deficiency dominated by the project Implementationin this study we had calculated the total groundwater recharge in 2009 ( when there is no recharge structure) and after that in 2012 (when there is recharge structure are present).from that assessment we conclude that there is more groundwater recharge after implementation of recharge structure.
