Rising tensions across the borders of India and Sri Lanka caused much havoc between the two countries. The fishermen of our country are being kidnapped by the Srilankan Navy to cross the border that is not intentional most of the times. The document deals with a tracking system of the vessel's location using DGPS and trigger an alarm consisting of a Piezo-buzzer when approaching or crossing the border. Further, in addition, DGPS information is sent to the control room where it is read and then through a GSM device, information is sent to the family at regular time intervals that are anticipating the safety of their family member.
The GPS modem will continuously give the signal that determines the latitude and longitude and indicates the position of the fishermen to them. Then the output is read and displayed on the LCD. The same data is sent to the fisherman's mobile and simultaneously the same data is sent to maritime safety. An EEPROM is used to store the data, received by the GPS receiver. The hardware interfaces with the microcontroller are LCD screen, GSM modem and GPS receiver.
