Book Store Management System is the web application to automate all kinds of operations in the library. The purpose of this software is to manage books in the bookstore. Generally, it includes order processing, stock management and account management. We develop this software to maintain records of sales, purchases and personnel records. This project was developed using ASP.NET as the front-end and SQL Server as Back-end. Here we are trying to develop such a system which is to provide automation in any kind of bookstore. That means a store that has the type system that provides facility to store customers to buy the store books without any complexity.
At the beginning of the business, the owner of the book store buys the book from distributors. All the names of the books were scored in the software along with the rate. In the current system, the user has to do all the work manually. In the current system During the issuing order of more stocks, the product registration is required to check the availability of stocks in the hand. And it takes time to check the records.
The amount paid to a particular reseller from whom the book was purchased is also saved on the Reseller tab. In the current system of book store management, To generate reports based on the management requirement, an extensive search of records will be required. In the case of the provider and personnel records management, records must be updated from time to time as information (such as telephone number, address) changes frequently. The securities section gives the total number of book stocks available in the store. When a customer buys a book from the store, an invoice is generated. The account contains the name of the book purchased, the rate per book, quantity, total rate and total amount. For example, any customer wants to buy any book from the store that the customer has just chosen the flow of the book that he / she can see more than one type of books there and that he / she can choose the specific book from there . And then buy it by paying the price at the cash counter bookstore and get your invoice.
For the next month, the owner will get the estimate as to which book to buy more and which book to buy less and which books to buy. In the current book management system of the store, in each process, whether Product management, customer record keeping, payment management, reporting, the user has to pay more attention during the realization of the chores. In the proposed system all records are stored in the database for reporting. Depending on the number of books purchased, the number of books will be deducted from the stock. Therefore, we have the total number of books sold by the population. In the current system, the user has to maintain client records manually. You have to maintain suppliers and personnel records. You must generate current monthly, quarterly or annual reports.
Current bookstore management system
At present, wholesale and retail outlets are working under manual management. The customer uses MS Excel, All records related to Products, Sales, Suppliers, Orders, Payment are stored in Excel files. There is a lot of duplicate work, and possibility of error. When records are changed they need to update each excel file. In the case of customer records, all information related to customers and the product that the customer has purchased will be stored in the clients' Excel files. If changes to the customer profile (such as phone number, address) occur, the Excel file must be updated.
To manage the entirety of the data, the person keeping records has to have a lot of pain. Several Excel files must be maintained for each separate process. There is no option to find previously saved records. There is no security; Anyone can access any report and confidential data.
