Abstracts: A coupling is a device used for transferring torque or power to another device that needs it. There are a lot of types of shaft coupling or simply couplings used today. Magnetic coupling consist of two magnets, a drive magnet that attaches to the motor shaft and a driven magnet that attached to the load or machine shaft. The two magnets couple automatically such that the driver magnet turns the driven magnet. The inner and outer magnetic rotor are locked together by magnetic forces and work as s synchronous coupling. The permanent – permanent magnetic coupling create neither slippage nor induction current during rotation. When excessive torque is applied, the magnet will decoupled, they will not recoupled unless the pump is stopped. Our project is a result of instance research and study of the magnetic coupling. It consistory of design and analysis of the whole concept of magnetic coupling. The particularly about our project is that we have try to implement coupling technology and it is our effort to introduce the magnetic coupling with great advantages.
