ABSTRACT
This paper deals with the analysis, modeling, and control of the doubly-fed
induction generator (DFIG) for wind turbines. In this paper different
techniques of artificial intelligence are presented for controlling the wind
turbine. Focus on fuzzy logic and adaptive fuzzy inference systems
(ANFIS) that combines characteristics of fuzzy logic and neural networks.
In addition a Grey predictor is integrated in control scheme for predicting
the wind profile. The goal of this paper is to show the possibility of using
intelligent control systems into a wind turbine. The control scheme is
validated using simulation results. Hence the main platform is LabVIEW
which is one of the most powerful tools for simulating and implementing
control systems.
