ABSTRACT
Password Based Accessing: First process is to enter the password to open the door. Once the entered password is correct then door will be open.
Counting the number of persons:Second process is to detect a person by IR sensor. Once person is entered inside when door is opened, person will be detected by IR sensor and person count will be incremented and displayed to know number of persons is entered.
Identifying the sunlight, and controlling the device: Third process is to control the devices depends on the light is available inside the house. When person is entered into the house, light is sensed by the LDR (Light Dependent Resistor) and controls the devices required to the person. If light is dark when person is entered lamp will be switched ON. Otherwise lamp will be turned OFF or lamp will not switch ON.
WORKING PRINCIPLE
The first process of this project is to enter the password. To enter the password 4x4 matrix keypad is used, which has 8 pins to interface with the 8051-microcontroller.
Once the entered password is correct, then house door will be open by using the DC motor.
When door is opened IR sensors will detect the person and increment the count of persons entered into the house. This count will be displayed on the This IR circuitry is designed by the 555 Timer, which generates 38 KHz frequency to make IR sensor work.
Then the final process is to control the devices according to the brightness of light in the house. If the light is dark, then Lamp will be switched ON if person is available in the house with the help of LDR (Light Dependent Resistor), otherwise Lamp will be in OFF state.
PIN DESCRIPTION OF THE 89C51
Vcc: Pin 40 provides supply voltage to the chip. The voltage source is +5V.
GnD: Pin 20 is the ground.
XTAL1 and XTAL2: The 8051 has an on-chip oscillator but requires an external clock to run it. Most often, a quartz crystal oscillator is connected to inputs XTAL1 (pin 19) and XTAL2 (pin 18). The quartz crystal oscillator connected to XTAL1 and XTAL2 also needs two capacitors of 30pF value.
RST: Pin 9 is the RESET pin. It is an input and is active high (normally low). Upon applying a high pulse to this pin, the microcontroller will reset and terminate all activities. This is often referred to as a power-on reset.
RESULTS
After the person entered the door closed and the LDR senses the light intensity in the room.
If there is light inside the room, then the relay will not ON the bulb
If there is no light inside the room, then the relay will ON the bulb
